David Seligman founded Seligman Private Equity Select in 2003 and oversees all aspects of its business. Previously, he was 25 years at SG Warburg and its successor firms. He has been involved in private equity for over 30 years and, in 1990, formed the sponsor coverage group: sponsor selection was critical in establishing the group as a leading adviser to European private equity firms. He has advised on all aspects of private equity, including fund-raising, financing (bank and capital markets debt) and deal structuring, acquisitions, disposals and IPOs, and restructurings. He has extensive relationships among the European private equity community, with sponsors, investors, placements agents and the professionals supporting the sector. Mr. Seligman qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte & Touche following training periods with L. Messel (London), Compagnie de Banque et d’Investissements (Geneva) and Banque Louis-Dreyfus (Paris).

Debbie Philippides joined Seligman Private Equity Select in 2006. She leads the firm’s manager selection efforts on primary and secondary activities. Previously, she spent seven years at Höegh Capital Partners, a family investment firm, where she co-founded their private equity fund-of-funds programme. She began her career as a management consultant with LEK Consulting. She holds a BSc and ARCS in Physics from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London, and a DPhil in Theoretical Astrophysics from the University of Oxford.

Jamie Seligman joined Seligman Private Equity Select in 2014. He is responsible for sourcing and executing secondary deals. He joined the firm from EPIC Private Equity, an independent manager, advisory boutique and placement agent established in 2001. During his time with EPIC Private Equity, he partnered with management teams and entrepreneurs to invest in UK SMEs, taking control or minority positions across growth, buyout, distressed, PIPE and secondary portfolio transactions. He has a BA in Accounting and Finance from Durham University.

Alex Fisher joined Seligman Private Equity Select in 2021, after having spent just over two years in the Leveraged Finance team at Barclays Investment Bank, where he worked on providing debt financing packages supporting a range of large cap leveraged buy-out and corporate refinancing transactions across sectors including telecommunications, industrials, automotives and financial institutions. Previously, Alex graduated from University College London in 2018, where he was awarded a BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies.

Catherine Selim is Office Manager at Seligman Private Equity Select, which she joined in 2015. She provides administrative support to the team and assists with Investor Relations. She previously worked for eight years in the sponsor coverage group at SG Warburg and its successor firms. She has a BA in Classics from King’s College, University of London.
